With Halloween coming, it’s always fun to dress up snacks with little ghoulish touches, which is fun for kids and adults in mind. Dips are one of my go-to things to serve to kids or entertaining because it’s everybody’s favourite….I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like dips. Dips are also super quick to make, and serve with naan bread wedges, chips, crackers, tortilla chips or veggies. This Monster Curry Dip is very easy to make as I made it with busy families in mind. You may remember that I have been working with Patak’s over the past year creating recipes, and one of the products that I have really come to love is the Tandoori Curry Paste. It makes everything spicy and delicious!
This dip looks very attractive when served with different colored tortilla chips, but vegetables would be another awesome colorful choice as well. I like the look of serving it with red, white and black tortilla chips for Halloween. The Tandoori Curry Paste gives the dip a warm and spicy flavor that is not too hot, but is fragrant and delicious. Heating the curry paste allows it to release the loveliness of the oils and spices.
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 heaping tablespoon Patak's Tandoori Curry Paste
- Candy eyes, found in the baking aisle or with the cake decorating supplies. {you could also use cut olives as well.}
- 1. In small frying pan or microwave safe dish, heat curry paste gently for 2-3 minutes to release all the oils and flavors of the paste. Let cool.
- 2. Mix curry paste, sour cream and mayo together until smooth. Scoop into serving dish and garnish with eyes. Serve with chips, crackers, naan bread wedges or veggies.
