Hello Friends! I hope your week is going great so far!
We are enjoying cooler weather this week…so I have been able to get some home decor projects crossed off my list…which feels so nice because I was just dying to try out some new spray paint colours and work some magic on a tray.
You know how I love to prowl around Homesense to look & dream? {Do you have a store that you love to visit and dream in?}The clearance aisle never disappoints as I always seem to find something that is super budget-friendly…like this tray.
Except the rooster…not so dreamy for my home decor.
But it’s nothing a little spray paint and time can’t fix.
So I did a little eeny-meenic-minie-mo with the spray paint cans and was delighted with this summery, beachy blue.
And then I filled my new tray with candles, shells and other beachy things for a little vignette on the living room coffee table.
It was the best $4 fun ever!
Have you tackled a spray paint project lately?
What new treasure did you create for yourself?

Beautiful tray. I love the clearance isle at homesense, got quite a few nice pieces to fill out my mantel from it.
What a great makeover! I love the blue you painted it.
this is beautiful Love the colour!!
I like the tray the way it is but after a fresh spray of paint it looks even better! $4 bucks what a great deal! Love homesense!
What an excellent find, I absolutely adore the colour choice!
I love LOVE the color you painted your tray. I might be in love with all things turquoise lately. Have a great Tuesday!
very cute ! I still love the chicken though lol.
Very pretty, Angie! The color works so well with the beachy feel and the shells! Send us some of your cool weather. : ) We are humid beyond belief again.
Love it… I have the shells, candles… need the tray & paint!! And a store within driving distance… out in the country… But thanks for sharing this great idea!!!
Gorgeous!!! I love to dream in Pottery Barn! : )
Right on! I definitely prefer your blue tray to the rooster decor. Looks very beachy! Enjoy the cooler weather. We're still waiting for it here!
Love the blue, and the candles look great in there. I just pinned a pinterest thing where you glue and roll candles in epsom salts to make them glitter, be nice with a red tray for christmas.
Angie, I love your tray makeover! Wow! The color is so pretty and I love that you filled it with candles and shells. It's very summer and I bet smells wonderful! Much better than the roosters : )

I have NOT done a spray paint project lately, but this makes me want to. I love Homesense too, and I love what you did with the tray. I am also fond of using shells to decorate in the summer and this is a great way of doing it!
Now that's my kind of deal. Love what you did with it.
So cute, and perfect for summer. I bet those shells remind you of good ole NS!! 😉
Love the turquoise – perfect for summer. You got yourself a bargoon!!!
Angie, I really need to remember that if I find a bargain and don't love the color or motif, there is always spray paint! YOur beachy tray is just so breezy and fun! Great post!
Thanks for sharing your smart DYI with us at TUTORIALS TIPS AND TIDBITS!
We have Home Goods here, maybe a similar store. I really like that pretty color you used, & it looks so pretty with the candles and shells.
