I can smell it….Spring is just around the corner…just 5 days away.
I’m completely feeling it as I freshen up tablescapes around the house.
I have loved yellow for years and years….it has always been one of my favourite colours for home decor….as the colour of my walls can attest…painted in 2005.
It is such a perfect herald to spring….sunny days ahead.
I live in Canada’s largest most northern city where winter temps can read -40….
I want to warn you….I have a few yellow projects coming up in the days ahead.
How about you?
Have you started any Spring projects?
I keep waffling between Spring decorating & Spring cleaning….guess which one is winning?
Love to all!

Really pretty. Love your jar of spring eggs!
Love your spring mantle! I love yellow as a spring color! I have some daffodils on my coffee table atm! Hugs, Hanneke
Very pretty mantel. Love Spring. Yes, spring cleaning is taking a priority in this household 😉
Hi Angie,
I was at HomeSense earlier holding that yellow flowered plate in my hands, along with the matching bowl, debating whether to get it!
Your mantel looks fun and fresh and I'm looking forward to some yellow projects! I chose it as an accent colour in my office and love the "pop" that it adds to black and white.

Love your egg filled apothecary, Angie! I was going to do that, too, but the package I was looking at was too much and I would have need two to fill my jar. I'm hoping they are on sale or I can use one of my craft store coupons. Funny you should mention yellow – my second option for filling that jar is my yellow lemons!
Pretty! That's funny as I was doing the same thing today. Found a sweet terra cotta bunny to add to a bookcase top, and I thought i may as well drag it all out of storage – bunnies and eggs. i am adding a lot of light green. But I love your pops of yellow (:
I love that plate, where did you get it?
I'm ignoring the spring cleaning for now, maybe once it's actually, officially spring I'll get on board:)
Lovely! No spring decorating yet but I hope to soon as I saw some very pretty ideas at a decor shop today.
Your vignette is beautiful! Here's to spring in Canada!
So bright and pretty – like we want spring to be!
So fresh, so spring! I'm loving our early Spring weather in Southwestern Ontario, I think we reached 20 today
It all looks so beautiful!
Everything looks so cheery – and yellow has recently become a favorite color of mine as well! And around here – the cleaning is nearly done, so the "pretties" are coming out soon!
Love your blog by the way – so uplifting!
Yellow is such a lovely colour! Apparently it makes houses sell, they recommend that if you want to sell your house you add lots of yellow to it. Like door painting and all the rest. I maintain it's because yellow is a fresh colour, it's the colour of spring and renewal I think that's why people respond so well to it.

Hi Angie, Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your kind words. In answer to your question, I am in Ontario. My parents are from Nova Scotia and part of my heart belongs there, though. 🙂 Haven't been to Alberta yet. I would be absolutely thrilled to guest blog if you like. Email me when you get a chance at joannmacdon@hotmail.com
Have a great weekend.
We just had another dump of snow here today so seeing your pretty spring vignette was a welcome sight! I'm having a hard time moving forward on spring decor when there is still so much "winter" outside our windows. I think yellow is a terrific spring colour too (wish I was brave enough to have it on my walls – yours look great!)

Looks very nice. I love yellow it always makes me feel so happy.

Love the bookend! Whenever I get to Value Village (rare) I try to find some but haven't been successful. I may just need to go pay full price somewhere… Where did you get yours?
I love the plate! Well, love it all actually. But the plate got me to thinking. I see so many pretty plates in the stores patterned for the seasons and I want to buy them all. But I think to myself, I have no need for so many dishes! Well, why in the world not use them to decorate! I'm shaking my head right now as this simple revelation hits me. 🙂
I love yellow, too. It is such a happy color… and I particularly love your pretty plate! Lovely vignette!
Now I really have spring fever! I love how you have grouped together a mix of colors and hint of easter with the eggs and the simple white bird…beautiful together! I am just so symbolic I guess, but it has given me some ideas for my foyer or mantel. I am love seasonal decorating and yours is so tasteful! Planning on doing some cleaning tomorrow but will set aside a little time to set out some "spring". Thanks for sharing!!!I am once again, inspired…smiles! Blessings, Suzanne
Gorgeous! I used to ::hate:: yellow (ask my college roommate, she loved yellow!) but now I've been sprinkling it all around our home and we even painted our dining room table yellow! It has definitely grown on me: so light and cheery! Great work!

Love the yellow vignette Angie! I've always decorated with soft pastel colours but just yesterday I spray painted (for the first time) and transformed a black mirror to yellow!
Looking forward to your yellow projects to help inspire my bedroom makeover.

This looks so cheery and wonderful. I am also a huge fan of yellow! I love the mirror and how you added sweet touches of Easter. Great job!
I would also love to know where you got the bookend? It's perfect!
And, forehead smack, why have I never considered decorating with a beautiful plate?
I love everything about this! I used yellow on my spring mantel this year too, even though it's not a color I usually gravitate to. I have to say, it may just be my go-to color from now on! 🙂 Check mine out here.
