Today I tackled a kitchen project that I have been contemplating for a while.
My kitchen is very small…with not a lot of counter space.
I have a ‘baking centre’ tucked into a corner cupboard of my kitchen where I store all of my baking supplies.
But bending into a corner cupboard to get out large containers of flour and sugar often is not fun.
So…. I decided to solve that problem by doing this:
I had some glass canisters from Ikea & Walmart.
First, I emptied & washed them out.
Then I dug these out of my scrapbooking stash of stickers:
And did this:
I made 2 for flour:
And one for sugar:
And now my little ‘baking center’ looks like this:
I was worried that these glass jars would eat up too much counter space.
But I think it works!
It makes these thing so much more accessible.
No more bending into a tight corner cupboard.
And now I’m off to make some cookies!

Great idea with the stickers. I have a bunch of the same jars on my counter for baking ingredients too. I bake cookies for the kids a lot, so it is great having them close at hand. I'm hoping for a KitchenAid Pro mixer one of these days.

Love the jars, and love the lettering. I am hoping when Michaels opens up here this weekend they will have the lettering there. Good job.

GREAT idea Angie! I love that you used stickers. It seems like everyone has been doing this with their silhouette machine. I don't have one so the stickers would be perfect!

I have that cupboard that you were referring to…and I have to twist and bend to get to the supplies…now I need to go and buy some jars!

I changed to a whole foods diet this summer as several of my posts detailed. so I bought glass storage jars for the new seasonings and other suppplies that now stock my pantry. I typed, printed, and cut out my labels, but I really enjoy how you used the scrapbook lettering for your canisters!

Loved your idea! I had recently found some cute glass canisters and had also bought some neat letter stickers for a sign to go in my kitchen. Why the heck didn't I think to use those stickers for my canister?!?! Well, thanks to you, I did just that and then I put some on 2 candle holders and a candy dish. The possibilites are endless!! Thank you so much for a simple, yet wonderful idea!!!

Those are so great looking, but they don't seal, do they? I always thought they needed to be airtight, maybe I'm wrong. That is why I have never liked glass canisters. I need to investigate that!
But yours are gorgeous!
