Anyone peeking through the windows at my house last week would have thought I must have come down with a serious case of cray cray. In the midst of vomiting children, sticky glasses of ginger ale on flat surfaces, cracker crumbs and Gravol bottles, I had Christmas tubs out….humming to myself and decorating away. Yes. Christmas was going to arrive…just ahead and after the vomit…but it was going to arrive.
It sure has been fun decorating in red, white, silver and fresh greenery this year….after liberating myself from 15 years of blues & greens last year. The red is so refreshing to me.
What colours are you decorating with this year and are you trying anything new?
Stay well and warm my friends!

Love the red & white! They are my favorite colors to decorate with 🙂
Love the red and white. It looks fantastic. I hope the kids are all well now. I won't be decorating this year. My husband just had a serious spine surgery a week ago and I can't get to my decorations. I may buy a small table top tree this yr but that has to be it. I"ll just live through everyone else's blogs this year.. LOL

I think it looks so happy – I am using red, too and a lot of gold and green. I wish we could stay "cool" – it's like summer here with a high of 83. Gotta love Central Texas…making your gumdrop cookies this week – wish me luck! (:
So cute and fun! I really love the mirror;)
I'm not sure I've come up with a cohesive them yet! LOL But I love brights.
The polka dot ornaments are my favorite! Very cute!

I always do red – it's such a happy Christmas color. We have lots of entirely gray days here in Michigan too so I like to make the house as bright and cheerful as possible to combat the blah outside 🙂 Your decor looks beautiful as always!
Red, royal blue and green in the main part of my house this year and pink, aqua and mint in the dining room. I love that I've got 2 colour stories- it allows for more variety!
Love the red & white…looks very whimsical!
Your mantel is lovely! The white mirror in the middle is fabulous with all of the greenery and red decor. I love the red and white, that's what I'm doing this year, too. Except I'm adding turquoise for the first time this year. I didn't put up my white lights this year, I have real greenery tucked in around things instead.
Hugs, Cindy
I hope your kiddos are feeling much better, too. 🙂
Love the red, white and silver too!! Very pretty! 🙂
What did you do with all the old blue and green decorations?
Love the red and white!
Hope you are all feeling better!
Hi Angie,
Your mantle is beautiful! So festive and fun!!! I love the red and white, especially with the fresh greens. We have a holly bush in the front yard and every year I bring in little snippets decorate the house. I just love the natural look of it. I mainly decorate with red, white, and green too – but I also love silver and gold! I can never seem to stick with a theme because I want to have everything! : )
