Welcome to our holiday home for 2012.
The colour story this year is: red, white and silver, with fresh greenery for contrast and pine cones.
Did you know that a bowl of ornaments is the easiest decorating touch ever?
I bet you did!
A few red & white pillows ‘borrowed’ from my son’s bedroom and an inexpensive dish towel thrown on the coffee table take care of the textiles in the room.
It is so hard to get the light just right in the winter for pictures….but at least we have beautiful sunshine.
The subway art in the frame was a free printable from the 3 sisters at Eighteen25. Love their projects.
The tiny poinsettia is from the local grocery store…and is the perfect touch for small side table.
The martini bar got it’s own little collection of pretties too.
Vignettes for the season can make a room feel so festive.
And here’s the vignette I created for our dining table.
And no one is supposed to touch the m&ms until the green veggies are eaten!
I like to keep our seasonal decor fairly simple…vignettes and tablescapes do the job just nicely.
I used to hang stuff over windows and doorways, but I have simplified over the years.
And I find I feel happier with simple….less really is more.
Thank you so much for taking a peek at our holiday home!

Very pretty, Angie! I love putting ornaments in anything ~ it does seem like such a simple way to add Christmas to your home. I like how you added pinecones in with yours.
Where did you find that adorable Gingerbread man?
soo pretty!
Very pretty! I especially like the candy arrangement and the pretty pillows.
This is just lovely, Angie. I adore your sweet little vignettes — simplistically beautiful!
Less IS more – I wish I was better at this mantra! Love the dining table mantra- but those candies are going to gone by tomorrow!!
LOVE your pillows!!! Thanks for sharing; I gleaned a few ideas!! 🙂

So cute and festive. I agree that less is more – I pulled out a lot less this year and kept it all simple. whenever I think I will add to it…I remember something else I need to be doing! Plus, it will make it easier to put it all away in January. (: We have sun here, too and 80 degree days…
Less is more will definitely be our theme this year. I love simplicity, but don't always achieve it. We have a very busy one year old on the move this year so things will be simple and mostly out of reach. My daughter didn't touch anything, my son, is a menace 🙂 Hoping to tackle our mantle this weekend, my favourite spot to decorate.
Your place looks lovely Angie! I like the gingerbread boy napkin holder, soo cute! =)

If you look closely into the silver ornament, you can see the photographer. Is it you?
Oh I just love your Christmas decorations!
Everything looks cozy and beautiful! I especially love your red pillows!
I really enjoy your vignette ideas, Angie. I think I'll try doing more things like that. I wrote on my blog about my decision to go super simple with the decorating this Christmas. Could not stand the thought of adding to the clutter I already feel! Simple is so much better, I agree. Thanks, once again, for your wonderful ideas.
I too had a bowl of ornaments and pinecones. I came home from school today to find the dog had destroyed the pinecones. It's the first thing he has ever eaten. Hopefully yours don't meet the same unfortunate end.
Very pretty. Such simple touches of color and cheer. Thanks for sharing. Karie
I like it-especially the bowl of Christmasy stuff on the books!
Stopping by from Kelly's. Everything looks so pretty. Loving that chevron pillow 🙂
Great job!
Less is more-your mix of patterns and textures are wonderful!! Looks very Merry without drowning in glitter!! Merry Christmas!
oh Angie, this is so pretty! love your decoration 🙂

Love your eat, drink and be merry vignette so much I had to pin it! Thanks for sharing.
I really like your holiday decorating style – the red is so cheery!
Feel free to come decorate my house!! I love yours.
Everything is beautiful, you do simple very nicely. I love the red and green with fresh greens and pinecones. Perfectly festive!
