1. Get Down With Bedding. Start with something that you adore! Who wants ‘ugly’ in the bedroom?! Build your bedroom around colour and bedding as a jump off point. If you are going to paint, pick bedding first & paint colour next, and not the other way around. Drapery should fit into the colour scheme whether it be a neutral scheme or full of colour. I recommend ‘black out’ drapes to provide the best sleeping comfort. Black out lining can be added to existing curtains or inexpensive options can be found at Zellers & Canadian Tire, for example, & they often go on sale. Besides the many ‘bedding in a bag’ choices that come as matched sets, consider these other budget friendly options:
Sundae Scoop @ I {heart} Naptime
Sunday Showcase @ Under the Table & Dreaming

I will have to take the ironing board out of my room and the huge pile of ironing, then do it and then maybe I'll just look at those pretty pictures again and dream that one day I'll have time to make my room as pretty 😀

Hey there Applevalley Girl!
You got style. You know that?
I am laughing when I see your bedroom pictures. Your wall color looks about the same as mine (pratt & lambert's cafe cubano) and we also have a sleigh bed that color (Jordan's Furniture), I have two night stands with that style lamps (only acrylic made to look like glass instead of your metal), see what I'm saying???
Our bedroom is no where finished though, like yours. Yours looks great!
Thanks for all the inspiration!

Beautiful! I would love to decorate my bedroom, but because we live in a rental apartment, my husband doesn't want to paint the walls or do anything "special."
