This week, I am writing a series about getting organized for Christmas. I am featuring a few little ideas to help make Christmas organized and pretty for the CEO of Santa’s workshop…..Mom.

Welcome to Project 6!
One of my very favourite things to do when getting ready for Christmas is to plan time for some shared activities with loved ones and special friends. To me….that is a part of Christmas.
Over the years I have made cookies with friends, constructed gingerbread houses with family, hosted crafty parties for my daughter and her friends, and hosted a “Christmas Card Night” with wine and appies with girlfriends.
When my Mom comes to visit, we always try to find time to have a craft day where we create a project together. A few months ago when she was here, we made these.
When she was here a few weeks ago, we decided to do a Christmas project together.
After spending some time browsing around my favourite local craft store,
we decided to make Christmas mini-albums together.
We purchased inexpensive accordion albums along with a few sheets of paper and accents.
I love spending quality time with my Mom….she is such a fun girl!
{We forgot to get out the wine this time though!}
This is what our finished projects looked like~
The cover of mine:
The interior pages:
We used assorted stickers, felt pieces, and ribbon to dress things up.
The last few interior pages:
Our albums were not exactly the same as we used different little pieces here and there.
The beauty of an accordion album is that it can be displayed on a mantle or tabletop.
This little project will hold photos for Christmas 2010 in few weeks.
And it is comforting to know that our mantle and my parent’s mantle will share some love across the miles.
Share the Love!

He Angie,
Great ideal! Love the creative cards & so much nicer than mass produced generic cards in the store! Made your turkey meatball soup, double the recipe & my husband has been taking it for lunch every day!

Great idea. So nice to share special time with your mom. I did something like this at your moms a few years back and I put it out every Christmas.
