How I Love All the White…..But In Real Life?

I absolutely love these white rooms.
I find them all so fresh and fabulous.
This white foyer is delightful.
This entry is so fresh & fun.
Love this cozy room!
This bedroom is so calming and serene.
I covet this cottage! Rustic yet sophisticated charm.

 But my reality is this:
Black fingerprints from newspaper reading on all the white kitchen cabinets.
I wipe them everyday.
Little brown pawprints on the leather sofas.
I wipe them everyday.
Doritos-orange{or other snack food} fingerprints on the door to the family room.
I wipe them everyday
Food stains on the dining room chairs.
I wipe them everyday.
Greasy little fingerprints on light switches.
I wipe them everyday.
I honestly could not imagine a whole decor scheme in white.
My life would become a never-ending wipe & wash fest….all in the quest of keeping the white white.
I love my family. I want them to live in our house.
But….a girl can dream, right?

I'm with you on this one! I really want a white slip covered couch but we have a black cat! I just know that this white couch would be a magnet to him!!!!!!!! We already battle with him sleeping on my white bedspread..all that thick black fur gets on everything!

I agree a home has to be lived in…pets and all!

    Loved these photos Angie

    I love all white too
Come over to my blog and see the photos of my Bungalow…arts and crafts dark panelled walls and dark flooring and furniture too….and I do not have children at home anymore!

Realistically all white is for empty nesters or DINKS…
    (double income no kids)

I absolutely love white, but I totally agree with you. It is impractical for a lot of high traffic areas. I must say though, I recently painted my kitchen cabinets white and they have remained RELATIVELY clean since. The one that gets the most action, the trash drawer, isn't even that bad. I usually wipe it down once a week. But then again, I only have my husbands' sticky fingers to deal with at this point. I'll let you know if it changes when little bundles of joy join the picture. :)

And thanks for your sweet comment on my kitchen update. I will definitely take your advice!! I appreciate it. I'm a new follower of yours now too!! I'm loving all of the inspiration.
