This dessert is also very versatile too. You can throw in a handful of nuts or chocolate chips or Skor toffee bits if you like. For the cake you see above, I did throw in a handful of Skor toffee bits, but it is also just as good without.
Ingredients:
1/3 brown sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 cup milk
2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1/2 cup skor toffee bits,or nuts or chocolate chips {optional}
2 cups boiling water
1 cup brown sugar
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup pumpkin
Directions:
1. Mix brown sugar, flour, milk, baking powder, salt and skor bits together. Pour into a 8X8″ pan.
2. In same bowl as used above, mix together boiling water, brown sugar, butter, nutmeg and pumpkin. Pour over cake in pan.
3. Bake at 350 oven for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and spoon into bowls. Add ice cream or whipped cream if you dare!

When liquid is added to flour mixture do we mix it all together or just pour over?
