Over the weekend, I had the chance to hang out with 2 of my very favourite people to enjoy some creative time.
It was 3 days of bliss!
I finally got to create this album for our family spring break vacation last year.
I will share more of this album later in the week…but I loved how it turned out!
My sweet friend Danine spent her time sewing.
This busy mom of four little boys makes the most beautiful handcrafted aprons using vintage materials.
Her works of art have been published in 3 issues of Apronology magazine…and we are so proud of her!
This is just one of the projects she finished on the weekend…..made of vintage floral fabric with the most adorable little embrodiery piece made into a pocket.
And here is a vintage table cloth trimmed in the vintage floral with 2 little pockets.
And these are but just 2 of her creations from the weekend.
{For your info, she takes custom orders. You can send her fabric or items that you would like included in your apron. This weekend we watched her create a lovely apron out of man’s dress shirt for a special order for an elderly widow’s birthday. The shirt belonged to her husband who recently passed away.}
This is my friend Ronda…she hosted this event for us at her house and we are so very grateful.
Ronda is an incredibly talented scrapbooker and she constructs the most exquisite pages.
She made this page for her sister as a momento of their trip to Hawaii.
Her scrapbook loft is just filled with beautiful creations everywhere you look.
And she has an incredible eye for small details and amazing colours.
Look at this ‘clothesline’ in her loft…isn’t it awesome?
This is her scrapbook room/office located in the loft of her home.
Isn’t it incredible?
We spent Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday here.
We chatted, visited, created, watched movies, ate and enjoyed ourselves to the max.
And here is the wall of Ronda’s loft that we call her ‘store’!
And the best part….she shares!
And here is what the office looked like on Saturday afternoon…
Only the best of friends let you come to their place and make a total mess!
Despite the mess, there is talk of another RAD{Ronda, Angie, Danine} retreat in the Fall!
Thank you so much Ronda for inviting us into your home to share 3 days of complete fun & companionship!
We love you!
Share the Love!

So this sounds like it was an absolute blast!! Did you come and bring your own projects and work independently on them or did she organize projects for you? What a sweet story about the man's shirt/apron!! How great to have such a wonderful friend who shares her talent with you and many others.

Your scrapbook sneak preview looks great, Angie! Who wouldn't be inspired to create in such an amazing space? I would never want to leave! What a lovely way to spend a weekend.
Everything about Ronda's Loft is incredible but my favourite feature is definitely the clothesline. I have never seen a display like that before.
Thanks for sharing some inspiration!

Sounds like a great time. You have wonderfully talented friends. Good job on the Florida book. Looks great! I feel so guilty, because I am working on a photobook of our Florida trip (also spring break last year) and I can't seem to get myself to finish it!
