Vacations and trips are such important family times.
I think it is so vital to get those pictures off of digital cameras and digital storage and into some type of format that can be enjoyed…be it a mini-scrapbook, picture frame, shadow box or photo album.
After all, if the pictures aren’t enjoyed, then why do we take them?
I love having family pictures displayed in various ways around our home…it’s important to me and my family.
I made this mini scrapbook {just 14 pages} to remember our family trip to Florida last year for Spring Break.
The shared family times on the beach…
day trips to interesting places…
family dinners…
theme park adventures…
beach fun…
and more beach fun.
I leave this little scrapbook on a side table in the living room. Visitors pick it up to peek through it and the kids pick it up often and talk about the fun we had.
I love that!
I would like to be around in 100 years time to see if families have lost generations of family photos because they were left on digital storage, never printed and never resurrected…left to live their life on obselete technology and then die a quick death…like the floppy disk.
Do you make a point of printing your pictures often for your family to enjoy?
Do tell! Inquiring minds want to know!

I do something similar, make a Mixbook of all of our photos, one for every year. I upload every month so the job is more managable and love looking at the finished project every new year.

This is so true! I find the non-sleeping 10 month old is foiling my plans, but I do have a plan. I just printed a photo book of my 4 year old's first year (better late than never!) and she loves flipping through it. She shows it to everyone who comes in the house and talks them through it as if she remembers, I love it. I am trying to be better at printing photos, I actually ordered a Project Life kit for 2012. I am hoping once preschool begins in the fall I will be able to get in a regular routine of printing photos again.

My preferred method to enjoy pics is with Photobooks since they take up next to no room at all which I LOVE. As you can see from my recent post all those old bulky heavy albums were driving me crazy and had to be put away. You have to do what you have to do when you have a small home. With Photobooks I can leave them out on the coffee table if I want because they are a nice size and you can even label the spine which is great.

Love the mini album. I used to scrap, and I have to say that inspired me!
We have loads of photos displayed throughout the house, I am forever changing them up

Beautiful. Don't forget to keep it out all winter to remind you of those perfect warm summer days.

I like the little photo album. I made humongous scrapbook albums and they are so cumbersome no one wants to bother with them! Wish I had known then what I know now! Your vacation album is adorable, simple and sweet.

Oh gosh, the guilt. I rarely ever print and organize photos now that they are digital. And I thought I lost them all recently when I got a computer virus. I really have to get going on that. It gets to a point where it becomes intimidating though. I love how you have captured your special memories. So sweet.

I used to be a scrapbooking addict – mini albums galore! But when my second was born I had to close my business and concentrate on my family, so that was the death of scrapbooking for me! LOL!
I love your mini album! I think you are so right in that people rarely print off their photos anymore, me included!
I am now starting to become more digital savvy and I love to make photo collages of special occasions, but it doesn't do any good when it's left on the computer!! My oldest just loves to look through albums and hear all of the stories that go along with the photos! So I need to do it for my kids, if not myself!
My plan is do make a digital book each year, showcasing the best photos of each month, along with lots of journalling. This will take up much less space than a traditional photoalbum, and it's a good excuse to learn more about digital scrapbooking!! 😉
