As I sit here writing this post, I have this Brita® filtered water bottle beside me. I have recently resolved to drink more water because I know that I, like many Canadians, am not drinking enough. I have decided to make a new habit and fill this water bottle every morning to make sure I drink it throughout the day. Sometimes I find that hours have gone by and I haven’t drank anything and then I wonder why I have a small headache. I know that it is probably because I am a little dehydrated. I have also noticed, as a busy mom, that when I am chauffeuring the kids to their activities, I am very thirsty while driving around in the car. So I am going to take my water bottle along with me so I can sip it while on the road.

Did you know that Brita® has recently released a new report and it found that less than 50 per cent of Canadians are actually drinking the recommended two-to-three litres of water a day? I know that I definitely fall into this category. The report also revealed that three quarters of Canadians are most apt to choose a sugar sweetened beverage when thirsty because they are more readily available than healthier options. {I know that happens to me more than I care to admit.} Furthermore, thirty-seven per cent of Canadians state that they do not drink enough water because they do not like the taste of tap water and are concerned about purity levels.
Here is more information about the water-drinking habits of Canadians:
Let’s get back to the part about Canadians not drinking enough water because they do not like the taste of tap water and are concerned about purity levels.
Brita® Water Filter Pitchers and Water Bottles can help Canadians drink more water by making tap water taste and smell better!
Brita® water filters are designed to reduce chlorine odour & taste, as well as to filter other impurities so that you can enjoy healthier, great-tasting water!
I have been using a Brita® water pitcher for a long time. When I was in University 20+ years ago, I could not have lived without my Brita water pitcher because the local town water absolutely reeked and tasted of chlorine. It wasn’t long before I invested, using my meager student funds, in a Brita® so that I could drink the tap water because drinking great-tasting water was a necessity! Having water that tastes and smells great is such a treat to drink!
The new designs of the water pitchers are absolutely brilliant! I love this handy little place where the pitcher can be refilled without having to take the top off.
It is such a convenient feature that makes it easy to keep the pitcher filled.
This is my first time trying a Brita water bottle. It has a small filter as part of the straw so that the water is filtered before drinking. It is great for travelling because it can filter tap water from any source while you are on-the-go…whether it be a tap in a school, office building, mall or airport. And by having a reusable filtered water bottle, it can replace numerous plastic water bottles, which is a good for the environment as well as your pocket book.
Drinking water is important to health and it is involved in almost every process in the body.
If the taste of tap water is holding you back from drinking more water, investing in a Brita® water pitcher and/or water bottles is a simple and economical solution to bring great-tasting water right to your finger tips!
