Strawberry season is almost here and it’s time to pull out all those yummy strawberry recipes! We lurves strawberry anything at our house…be it shortcake, pie, tarts, jam…you name it, we love it!
These Strawberry Shortcake Spring Roll Wraps are a fun twist on an old classic and the fun part is that there is no baking involved in making these neat little packages of strawberry goodness!
I have had so much fun working with Blue Dragon this year as an Ambassador and creating a fun recipe each month.
This month, I was tasked with coming up with a recipe using their spring roll wrappers, so I really wanted to try something outside the box.
Quick to make, Strawberry Shortcake Spring Roll Wraps make a great gluten free dessert than can served in short order…no pun intended. Add some real whipped cream and this sweet bite is perfectly fresh and creamy!
Strawberry Shortcake Spring Roll Wraps
Ingredients:
1 box of strawberries, chopped and sprinkled lightly with sugar
1 can whipped cream
To make:
1. Follow the directions on the package of spring roll wrappers to make them soft. {I have found that using warm tap water works best. Place soft wrapper on a plate.
2. Working quickly, spoon strawberries into rice wrapper and then roll up like a burrito.
3. Place on a place and garnish with whipped cream and strawberries as shown
You could have some real fun with these by adding ice cream, slivered almonds, cinnamon and a mixture of other fruit…just to name a few ideas!
You could also cut the wraps in half and serve them as finger food with whipped cream for dipping!
