On a very small budget, I was able to transform this porch from dreary and boring to fresh, fun and full of personality. On May 2nd, I was invited by Walmart Canada, along with many other bloggers from across the country, to take part in a Walmart Frugal Heroes Challenge. I chose to ‘re-decorate an outdoor space’ for a budget of $100. So on the morning May 2nd, I set off to Walmart, with list in hand, to see if I could come home with: a rug, a throw, pillows and plants. I was delighted that I was able to get everything on my list….and with the help of a few DIY projects…my front porch was turned from boring into a stylin’ enclave loaded with curb appeal.

Great makeover – and it really does look like some bright cheerful lemonade came to rest there. Love the pillows that match the planters and rug so well. Nothing like yellow to freshen things up.

Was it difficult to sew the vinyl. I want new flowers for my yard and porch for Mother's Day. 🙂
I made pillows for my mom's party 3 years ago. Time to spruce them up and bring back outside. 🙂
