With November being National Peanut Butter Lovers Month, it’s a great time to try out mouth-watering recipes that include a yummy-tasting peanut butter. I love recipes that I can make for my family that are full of high quality and great-tasting ingredients and this recipe for No Bake Fruit & Nut Balls made with Adams 100 % Natural Peanut Butter fits the bill perfectly! Not only are they great tasting, but they are loaded with good stuff like nuts, oats and dried berries, and make a great addition to packed lunches, as well as an any-time snack or breakfast on-the-go. Both of my kids love these small bites of goodness and I love that they are a great burst of nutrition too! With busy teenagers always on the go, these morsels provide a good dose of protein and fruit, and can hold kids over until meal time.
These tasty balls are so easy to make…taking just a few minutes from start to finish with no baking required…which is why it’s a terrific recipe for kids to make on their own, as well as anyone who doesn’t have time to bake and prefers healthy, made-at-home food.
This recipe is so easy {requiring only 8 minutes of time!}that it can easily fit into any busy, active lifestyle where families are looking for easy and fast on-the-go recipes that provide balanced nutrition to support exercise and other healthy goals.
Are we ready for this super easy recipe? Here we go!
No Bake Fruit & Nut Bars
{makes 22 balls}
Ingredients
1/2 cup Adams 100% Creamy Natural Peanut Butter
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 cup chopped mixed salted nuts
1/2 cup Robin Hood Oats
1/4 cup vanilla protein powder
1/4 cup each dried cranberries, cherries and blueberries
To make:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Shape into balls and refrigerate for 3 hours to overnight.
{Note: I have also made these with chocolate protein powder and added more peanut butter too, and the recipe turned out just fine with these small changes.}
The great thing I love about this recipe? Using Adams 100% All Natural Peanut Butter because it has no trans fat, no preservatives, no hydrogenated fats, no added sugar and no stabilizers. In fact, each Adams peanut butter jar contains peanuts and a dash of salt. Because it is made with only 2 ingredients, it is natural for the oil to separate, so keeping your jar upside down in the fridge is a great way to keep it less messy and easy to stir! {Did you know that there is also such a thing as a peanut butter mixer? Yes there is! You can purchase this nifty gadget at kitchen supply stores so you don’t have to flip the jar!}
I love feeding my family real food that is processed as little as possible, so I like having Adams 100% Natural Peanut Butter in our pantry at all times for toast and recipes.
In honour of it being National Peanut Butter Lovers Month, I wanted to share recipes from Adams All Natural Peanut Butter’s collection of sweet and savory recipes made with both creamy and crunchy peanut butter. There are some other delicious-looking recipes that I want to make for my family such as these On-The-Go Cocoa PB Bars and these Mini PB Oat Cups.
Another great thing about Adams? It comes in both creamy and crunchy varieties, as well as unsalted too! So if you are like our family with half our members wanting crunchy, while the other half demands creamy, you can keep the peace by having both in the fridge!
With my family’s desire to eat more real foods and less processed foods, including this natural peanut butter in our diets was an easy decision. When we want delicious-tasting peanut butter without unhealthy ingredients like trans-fat, we know that we can feel good about opening up a jar of Adams Natural Peanut Butter!
