I know lots of us Pinterest junkies have probably seen this project floating around on various Pinterest boards.
A plastic cereal container repurposed as a trash for the car.
Loved this idea when I saw it…brilliant!
It took me a while to find the right size container….I finally found one at Superstore.
It’s so much better than just a bag used as garbage.
I drive lots of kids everywhere for different activities….and a garbage bag always gets tossed around from front to back and often turns into a sticky, smelly, drippy mess that sometimes gets accidentally dumped on the floor of the car.
Yuck!
And guess who has to clean it up? Your truly.
This works so much better…it’s sturdy and nothing falls out.
It keeps smells contained…very important people!
The bag is easy to change…I just recycle a plastic shopping bag.
If you have kids…I highly recommend this!

Hi Angie,
I pinned this too and added one to my car last month. I have to agree, it is fabulous! I found my container at Dollarama and couldn't be happier. We had to do a 4 hour road trip last week for a funeral and it has never been so easy to get rid of the garbage from our quick stops for food. I just have to be careful when I turn right because every so often it tips over!
Sometimes it's the little things that make things so much easier!

When I was driving the Magic Bus (my van), I could've used this idea! Genius. My kids aren't in my car enough to make a big mess – and i make them take their trash with them…but when they were younger…

Such a good idea! My kids are still so little that I have to deal with the trash for them, this would make it so much easier.

That is truly a great idea, Angie. I could use one of those and I don't have kids.

With kids this is a Must! It's a lot better than picking up wrappers and cherios off the floor.
Great idea : )

LOVE this idea! I have one of those same containers in my cabinet waiting to be used.
Here's a thought, tho: If you put a baggie of something sort of heavy (marbles, sand, aquarium gravel) in the bottom, it would be less likely to roll around the car.
