2. Set Up Study Spaces.
Study spaces don’t have to be just a desk and chair. My daughter loves her desk….
but she also loves her lap desk for studying on her bed at night.
Although my son has a desk in his room too, he really likes this homework caddy that he can take around the house to do work where ever he feels like that day.{I used a silverware caddy for the homework supplies.} {If you would like to read more indepth on my set-up for this, check out my post on “Organizing Study Spaces & School Supplies”.}
5. Let’s Talk About Lunchy Loos.
Lunches should be nutritious. Period. If you are my kid and you are looking for a ‘Picasso’ or a ‘Micheangelo’ sandwich in your lunch….sorry…you got the wrong Mom! I love my kids dearly! I love going all out for my kids for special celebrations like their birthdays and such, but you are not going to find me creating sandwich masterpieces at 6 am in the morning. Thank you. I do take time on Sundays to ‘prep’ my kids’ school lunches for the week. Lunches at our house consist of a main course which is a sandwich, soup or salad, or a combination… along with some fresh veggies and dip in little containers.
Fresh fruit of some sort also joins the party…and a drink and a treat…which can be a muffin, cookie or some other yummy.

Great post! Where do you find the small packets of guacamole? My kids would love these.

I am beginning to feel that organizing bug too but I have one off to university next week a whole province away! Yikes!
I love how you pack all the snacks, veggies, etc ahead of time. I need to do that, would make my life simpler!

Thanks for the post! I created a 'lunch plan' last year for school lunches and it saved my sanity! This year it will be a message center in the mudroom, not on my fridge:)
Do you spritz your veggies before bagging them so they don't dry out by Friday?

Great strategies – as usual! I do mist of the things you suggested already but I am going to try pre-packing a few more things in little containers ahead of time. Perhaps on Sunday evening for the week ahead to make lunch-making a much smoother process.I'll let you know how it goes!

You are such a great mom! This could apply to our work lifestyle as well! Grab n go is so convenient, we like to separate all our groceries right away when we come home. It makes things a lot easier and faster the next morning 🙂 Great tips!

Back to School Time…my most dreaded time of the year!! Such great organization ideas though! I am SO with you about sticking with basic, healthy lunches. I'm trying to be a little more diverse this year with the food choices but no works of art from me either! I have a hard enough time in the morning as it is! Hope back to school goes well for you guys! xo

Angie, I feel inspired and I don't even have any kids in school!! I think I may use some of these organizational ideas for packing my hubby's lunches! I like those little bins you bought to organize small things like the yogurt. Those are the things that tend to get "lost" in our fridge.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and leaving such a precious comment!
Blessings,
Leslie

I agree with you…it's so important to keep the kids organized. Especially when they have after-school commitments, like sports and piano. Your tips are wonderful. I will definitely be using the homework caddy idea. My kids don't like to sit at a desk by themselves. Can't wait to read all of your links to your previous ideas. I love a good organizing tip! 🙂

Great tips! The fridge storage looks like a great idea. I also have trouble with our teen son taking lunch to school. They won't eat in the cafeteria either and he is too frugal to waste much money on take out so except for once a week he bags it.
