I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I took a full week off to enjoy my family and it was so refreshing!
I am hoping to burn off some of those extra Christmas calories by putting away our Christmas today and tomorrow, so I have rounded up some of the easiest and budget-friendly ideas for storing & organizing Christmas decorations. A few years ago, I instituted sorting & storing my ornaments by colour and I love, love, love this method. It makes decorating a house so easy when you have things sorted by colour!

Great ideas, Angie! I'm working on getting it all sorted and packed away right now. I've implemented a couple of different ideas this time around. I am doing some sorting by color, but mostly I am packing things away by rooms. The last several years I have had the need to recreate the wheel and have attempted to put all of my decorations in different locations. This year, that little scenario took me almost two weeks, so I'm thinking (not written in stone) that I will probably just repeat this year's decor next year — just maybe less of it….lol!

Hi Angie, I saw this at I should be mopping the floor. Using the red solo cups is such a great idea. I recently inherited a bunch of my moms ornaments and they're all old and breakable. Now I know how to store them (I was dreading all the time it would take to wrap them each in newspaper). Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year! 🙂

This year I got smart and packed my ornaments in reverse order of how they need to go on the tree. That way the stuff I need last will be in the bottom of the box, and the stuff I need first is right on top.

What great ideas, I especially like the idea to label the greenery, every year we pull out bits of green and wonder what on earth it is!
I think shoe boxes are brilliant for storage, most of our deckies go in large boxes that boots came in (just because I got lovely new boots 2 Christmases in a row!)
