Hello there! I hope you are having a great week so far! I know I am feeling clean & happy with my smile recently thanks to Philips Sonicare DiamondClean power toothbrushes. You may remember that two weeks ago, Sonicare challenged my family to use the DiamondClean toothbrushes for a period of two weeks to see if we could see or feel any changes to our oral health. We were sent two Philips Sonicare DiamondClean systems for the two adults and two teenagers in our family to use. And I have to say that everyone was excited to try out the new system. My 13 year old son even unpacked one set and set it up in the bathroom as soon as he opened up the box. And then he proceeded to brush his teeth with it!
Over the course of two weeks, we used our new power toothbrushes twice daily. And when my son and husband went away for a hockey tournament, my son even packed up a toothbrush with it’s portable charging case and wall plug to take with him. That impressed me because a 13 year old can be a bit forgetful when it comes to packing for trips.
Before I wrote this post, I polled my family to see what their thoughts were on using this new system. and everyone was happy with our new power toothbrushes. To be honest, I didn’t really have to ask my teens what they thought because the fact that they were using them religiously was testament enough that they liked cleaner and whiter teeth. My son has teeth that tend to look a bit on the yellow side, but after using this system for two weeks, they are looking whiter than before he started. {I would have taken pictures to share, but my teens are self-conscious about having their photos on mom’s blog}. Philips Sonicare Diamond Clean has been proven to remove up to 7X more plaque than a manual toothbrush in hard-to-reach areas and as a mom, I feel great knowing that my teens have assistance with plaque removal in the form of power toothbrushes. So far, both of my children, at 18 and 13, have no cavities and no fillings, and I sure that this will continue in the future with the help of Philips Sonicare.
As for me, I am very pleased with how my mouth and teeth are feeling after two weeks. Although the sound of the toothbrush inside your mouth takes a bit of getting used to, my mouth definitely felt cleaner after just one brushing session. I have very sensitive gums that are easily irritated, so I brush on the gum care setting and my gums are feeling great and not bothering me near as much as they usually do. And when I rub my tongue over my back molars, they feel smooth and clean, which was not the case with a manual toothbrush. With a manual toothbrush, I would often have to go back over my gums to remove debris that I had missed until they felt smooth. So I am really loving how much cleaner my teeth feel after this two week trial. Like my son, my teeth can tend to be a bit on the yellow side, so I also brush my teeth on the whiten setting for a minute and this has really helped my teeth to look whiter over the last two weeks. And this totally makes sense to me with Sonicare brushes having diamond shaped bristles that reach a greater surface area and provide 31,000 brush strokes per minute, which is more than manual toothbrushes make in two weeks. And I love the convenience in using the system because it comes with an innovative glass charger that you just need to plop the toothbrush in when finished.
I have to admit that I am excited to visit the dentist for our next set of check ups because I am sure that there will be a noticeable difference in the health of our teeth and gums. Philips is dedicated to providing Canadians with innovative, high performance products and take pride in their power toothbrushes. I think any family would be happy investing in these toothbrushes for improved oral health. The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean power toothbrushes can be found in major stores across Canada and would be a great gift for the upcoming Christmas season.
